Mostly of Glass

as the cafe door opens
it grunts, staggers
functioning under duress
catch you on the rebound
should you linger
slap you on the backside
made mostly of glass
so generous with the light
affords the opportunity to
observe
from several advantage
points
the Sunday afternoon
promenade
secrets and hidden histories
in fashionable clothes
strolling or strutting along
particularly today
under this very pleasant
heat
i sip my cappuccino and
ponder
on the ambience of youth
the fallacy of experience
made mostly of glass
such is the delicacy of life

About pmisteil

Hi, my name is Paul though I write under other names like, Thatcher and Paolo, I love literature, art and architecture their passion and drama....the contradictions. The notion of Truth-who is the person behind the mask? Or does it matter! I like long walks and longer conversations over cappuccinos in a cafe with atmosphere and the rest is a journey!
