The Cafe of Change

twelve noon
Cafe en Seine opens
jazz music ricochets
swirls around the art nouveau
salon
one of two
then the music changes
same as faces
tourists look
stand in awe
the noon silence
invaded
the sound of voices
orders taken
coffee maker hissing
spitting
steaming, screaming
the aroma drifting
to all sorts of places
hiding
lingers just for you
the cafe of change
all sorts of people
come and go, changing!

About pmisteil

Hi, my name is Paul though I write under other names like, Thatcher and Paolo, I love literature, art and architecture their passion and drama....the contradictions. The notion of Truth-who is the person behind the mask? Or does it matter! I like long walks and longer conversations over cappuccinos in a cafe with atmosphere and the rest is a journey!
