His Age Is Showing

the man in the ambiguous brown suit
bobs and nods his head
paying tribute to
the labour of his day
though, his age is showing
and bit by bit
the face will twitch
the mouth will slip
as saliva gathers
his thoughts will wander
he is There-Anywhere
but Here
we share a train
like me, he travels through
middle age
a parallel journey
just two nights ago
i leaned towards the glass
worn out
by life’s demanding day
dreaming in my moving seat
intoxicated by the soothing magic
of rotating wheels
my face did twitch
my mouth did slip
and saliva gathered

About pmisteil

Hi, my name is Paul though I write under other names like, Thatcher and Paolo, I love literature, art and architecture their passion and drama....the contradictions. The notion of Truth-who is the person behind the mask? Or does it matter! I like long walks and longer conversations over cappuccinos in a cafe with atmosphere and the rest is a journey!
