Once Crystal

at twenty
for study
or to pass the time
your eyes wander
through a book
without hesitation
and unhindered
after a score
or a little more
you no longer
distinguish the wood
for the trees
but the book
has not changed
the words remain the same
those eyes
once crystal
have seen so much
through the years
now, must rest
more time to reflect and
treat those jewels kindly

About pmisteil

Hi, my name is Paul though I write under other names like, Thatcher and Paolo, I love literature, art and architecture their passion and drama....the contradictions. The notion of Truth-who is the person behind the mask? Or does it matter! I like long walks and longer conversations over cappuccinos in a cafe with atmosphere and the rest is a journey!
