No, Not Today

a sip of coffee
a mood
pressing on my forehead
a view
a busy pavement
those buildings across
the street
the city traffic
moving slowly
the sound of rubber
hiss and crease
along the street
a conversation at the next
table
passing youth with
imposing features
the mood shifts
i’m happy
which is always, always
transparent
but always so pleasant
glancing at complete strangers
do i recognize a face
no, not today
but my coffee is going cold

About pmisteil

Hi, my name is Paul though I write under other names like, Thatcher and Paolo, I love literature, art and architecture their passion and drama....the contradictions. The notion of Truth-who is the person behind the mask? Or does it matter! I like long walks and longer conversations over cappuccinos in a cafe with atmosphere and the rest is a journey!
