Lingering in the Night Air

from the cafe bar

the scribbler in the corner

at this time of year

at the end of day

evening twilight surrender

to the visitor

the prince of darkness

casts his spell….

human souls seek out

the comfort of each other

engaging in the pursuit….

following the ambience of the street

light and shadow

through the avenues of the unreal

eager to touch….

with a thimble of fear

to be touch….

desire befriended by the unexpected

emotions stirred….

a stranger’s kiss

the naked embrace

lingering in the night air

just waiting….

About pmisteil

Hi, my name is Paul though I write under other names like, Thatcher and Paolo, I love literature, art and architecture their passion and drama....the contradictions. The notion of Truth-who is the person behind the mask? Or does it matter! I like long walks and longer conversations over cappuccinos in a cafe with atmosphere and the rest is a journey!
